40 and 87 alexis/erich/urahara/yoruichi? :3c For Art Reasons

(40: Almost Kiss, 87: Aroused by her voice)

It starts, ridiculously enough, with Erich making an offhand comment.

Yoruichi is sprawled out on the table in her feline form, listening to Kisuke and Erich talk and enjoying Alexis’ very skillful touch – the woman has magic hands, Yoruichi is sure of it, there’s no other explanation for how good it feels to have Alexis pet her – when Erich snorts at something Kisuke says.

“No, Alexis is stronger than me,” he says without hesitation and without looking up from his book. “I was an officer in the military, working for the General Staff, and when I retired, I retired. Lexi protected our lands from Hollows for decades.”

“You helped out,” Alexis protests with amusement, like this is familiar ground.

(She bets it is. Erich has in interesting habit of downplaying his contributions by… never drawing attention to them verbally.)

(Erich, she has come to realize, relies on people seeing his contributions or on being so competent people can’t ignore his value, not on talking himself up.)

“I kept our clan books, kept up with my contacts to make sure we weren’t blindsided by anything, and occasionally solved interpersonal disputes.” Erich gives Alexis a dry look and sticks a bookmark in his current page. “I transitioned from being a military strategist with a broad range of knowledge to being a clan head with a broad range of knowledge. Both positions often kept me behind a desk.”

Alexis laughs and leans over, cupping her hand behind Erich’s head and pulling him in for a brief kiss. “And yet you always kept up with me,” she murmurs once they part.

“I refuse to be left behind,” Erich answers with a proud tilt to his head, then softens the look with a wry smile and continues, “But you always were physically stronger than me.”

“Oooh?” Kisuke looks between the two, and Yoruichi knows that look in his eyes. He’s planning something. “Stronger, you say? Strong enough to carry you without augmenting herself?” he teases Erich with a sly look.

Erich bites his lip, shares a look with his wife, and sets his book on the table.

“Strong enough to carry both of you,” Alexis declares with a smug smile, giving Yoruichi one final pat and standing up to stretch. She beckons to Kisuke in challenge. “Want to see?”

Kisuke stands with a bark of laughter and lunges in an attempt to surprise her.

But Alexis just grins and catches him, propping him up on a hip and holding him up without sign of strain. “Well hello there,” she purrs, eyes hooded as she smirks at Kisuke’s expression. Her free hand reaches out towards Erich, though she doesn’t look away from Kisuke. “Shall we show him, love?”

Yoruichi blinks and sits up, tail curling around her paws as she stares up at this display; she’s a bit in awe of how unaffected Alexis is, if she has to be honest, and a tiny part of her mind wonders what it would be like to be in Kisuke’s place.

(Alexis’ arm around her waist, all that strength holding her up so effortlessly–)

“I would like to note my protest here,” Erich grumbles as he rises to his feet, tugging at the cuffs of his sleeves, and takes a few steps back. He eyes Alexis and Kisuke, sighs heavily, then takes a running leap at his wife without hesitation.

Yoruichi expects Alexis to sway, to step back, to move, anything! But instead, Alexis just catches her husband around the waist, hitches him into a more stable position, and presses a quick kiss to his cheek.

(That’s… definitely something.)

(Oh dear…)

“See?” Alexis purrs, voice deep with promise as she takes an easy step back from the table. “No augmentation. Just me.”

“Y-yeah,” Kisuke stammers, making Yoruichi want to howl with laughter. Her old friend is predictable and she really wants to tease him right now.

Hopping up onto Alexis’ shoulders will probably do the trick. She can get a good look at Kisuke’s stunned expression, rub her head against Alexis’ cheek, and otherwise make a nuisance of herself.

“You want to try too, Yoruichi?” Alexis askes before Yoruichi can do more than take a step towards the table edge. “I can hold you up too, even as a human.”

Yoruichi blinks, slow and thoughtful. “You know what happens when I shift,” she drawls, ears swiveling back at the thought. Normally she wouldn’t mind, but… well. This isn’t exactly a normal situation, and ‘leap into someone’s arms to be held while naked’ is not exactly the best idea she’s ever had. For… many reasons.

Many. Reasons.

Alexis chuckles and tips her chin towards the hallway, saying, “I can wait. These two aren’t exactly heavy.”

The offer is tempting, especially to see the look on Kisuke and Erich’s faces so… she goes for it. Bolts out of the room and shifts mid-step. Throws on clothing and whirls around to race back.

(She’s… maybe a bit more interested than she should be.)

Yoruichi leaps for Alexis with a great grin, part of her expecting them all to tumble to the ground and part of her wanting desperately to be wrong and–

Alexis turns a bit. Snags Yoruichi’s shirt with a hand and pulls–

Yoruichi clings to Kisuke, clings to Erich. Feels her eyes widen as Alexis takes her weight and stands steady as a rock. As her own momentum pushes her closer–

Feels her heart skip a beat as Alexis’ head tilts. As Alexis’ pupils widen. As Alexis’ lips brush against her cheek in an almost-kiss that feels more like a promise than a tease and–

“If you want to bed my wife, you could just ask, you know,” Erich says in exasperation.

Yoruichi yelps. Loses her hold. Falls to the floor with a thump and–

Alexis smirks down at her.

(Oh no.)

(She’s doomed.)
